QUITE CHAOS

🌷Some weeks there are new milestones, new teeth, new illnesses. Most weeks, there are a million plans and never enough time to do it all. Every week, the house is a mess, Darla doesn't get quiet enough attention, and we feel like we didn't get enough time with our baby. Some weeks are magical and spectacular, and others, we are just happy to have made it through.

As this week slowly came to a close, I felt like there was little to write about. I've spent a time planning Phil's first official Father's Day, but besides that, we worked, Evie went to school, Darla got her daily walks, we went to bed early, got up early, caught up with friends, and coasted through the week. No new milestones to report, no new rashes to temper.

We did the things we talked about all last summer: " can you imagine what these walks be like next year, with our daughter?!....can you imagine how fun it will be to bathe our little girl?!......can you imagine how much Darla and Evie are going to love going to the park together?!.....how fun will it be for Evie to try new foods?..."

I now realize how perfect this quiet week truly was. The house is still messy and feels chaotic. It's a struggle to want to make dinner every night (cheers to leftovers for 3 days!) Regardless, we were all healthy and we all got to fully embrace doing the most simple, basic, fundamental, and purposeful thing in life - being a family.🌷
